| Specialty Insurance Managers of Oklahoma, Inc. was started in 2002 with the goal of bringing quality, stable commercial surplus lines markets and professional service to the retail agents of Oklahoma. Today, Specialty provides producers with assistance in placing difficult or unusual insurance risks which their in-house markets are unable or unwilling to cover. Specialty operates, in some instances, as a managing general agency with complete underwriting, pricing and policy issuance authority. In other cases, we are strictly a broker providing access to markets otherwise unavailable to the producer. We currently represent over 13 different carriers and can entertain a wide variety of the specialty, hard to place, accounts that make up our segment of the industry. This coupled with our ongoing commitment to customer service continues to separate us from the rest.
